Govern a nation on a shared map. Settle counties, build farms, mines, and towns, and supply your population. Trade with other nations or capture neighboring land.
Start a nation or join a government
During the closed beta, Hegemony is temporarily restricted to the official Hegemony Discord server. Hegemony will be globally available after the closed beta.
Run /found to create a nation with 10,000 gold, then choose your first county. You can govern alone; ministers are optional.
To serve in another player’s government, run /me and give that nation’s Head of State your account ID. They can appoint you to Economy, Defense, or Interior.

Grassland improves farms; high ground improves mines. Towns consume ore to make tools. Each county has one permanent specialization, with roads and institutions as separate improvements.
Settlement and construction rulesSupply and taxation
Residents need grain and tools. Shortages and production taxes reduce prosperity and raise unrest. Collect earned taxes to fund construction, recruitment, and repairs.
Production, needs, and revenueTrade and conflict
Trade agreements require both governments’ consent and send surplus goods to partner shortages. Border campaigns cost gold and manpower, damage the captured county, and end trade with the defender.
Agreements and campaign costsThe economy runs at 10x real time. Inspect counties, refresh your economy, and choose actions.
